Membership Cards will be available at the pool office when the pool is open for the season. Members may pick up their cards any time while the pool is open. If your dues payment has not been processed, your cards will be unavailable and you will not be able to enter the pool grounds.

 

All invoices are mailed in March and payment is due April 1st. If you do not receive your invoice by March 15th, please email RoseTreeWoods@verizon.net.

NEW IN 2010: The changes outlined below will eliminate the challenges we've experienced with payments and RTW not being at full membership each summer.

 April 1 – Last day for dues payment without penalty

April 2 – $50 unpaid dues late fee

April 16 – $100 unpaid dues late fee

May 1 – Unpaid families will receive a certified letter that their bond will be sold on 5/15. A $150 lien will be applied to the bond value.

May 15 – Unpaid families will have their bonds sold if they have not paid their dues. A check will be mailed for the bond value minus any liens and a $25 handling fee. 

May 16 – Families on the wait list will receive bond membership offers.

 

August Only Membership cards will be available at the front office starting August 1st.

August membership invitations were mailed 7/16.

Water Safety Test

The water safety test is required for children under the age of thirteen before they will be allowed to use the deep water area of the T-pool or the lap pool or the water slide. The water safety test must be renewed annually.

The Deep Water Test will be a 2-part test. 

1. Two laps of lap pool without a break between laps (with only a touch of the wall when doing laps and not a rest).

2. Treading water for 1 minute.  Start treading water no more than 30 seconds after completion of 2nd lap. 

Any child who has not successfully completed the water safety test must be accompanied by an adult in the T-pool or the lap pool. Upon successful completion of the water safety test, the child will be given a badge which they must wear on their swim suit at all times. Replacement badges will be available at a fee of $1.00.

 

Waiting List - We are currently accepting applications for the waiting list as we are at full membership. To get onto the waiting list you must:

1. Submit an On-Line Membership Application. Please specify if you are applying for a Bond or August Only membership.

2. You will receive a confirmation email.

3. Mail the confirmation email and the $25 non-refundable wait list fee to:

Families will be offered a Bond or August membership based on the following prioritization:

1. The date that the wait list fee was processed.

   • Please note that the wait list fee is necessary to have your name placed on the wait list.

   • August Only membership applications paying the wait list fee will be offered an August membership before families that have not paid the wait list fee. August Only applications without a wait list fee will be processed in the order they were submitted until we are full.

   • A previous year's August membership does not place a family on the current wait list.

2. A recommendation from a Board of Directors will give priority to an applicant on the wait list.

3. All new members must be approved by the Board of Directors as outlined in our Bylaws.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Families will be offered a Bond membership a maximum of two seasons when they are on the wait list. If the Bond membership offer is not taken after the second time, the family will be removed from the wait list, and will have to reapply and pay the wait list fee again if they want to rejoin the wait list.

 

To sell your bond, you must send an email or a letter prior to April 1st. Please note that if you do not pay your dues for a season, a $150 lien will be applied to your bond. After 2 years of non-payment of dues, the bond value goes to $0.

Bylaw 2.05 is replicated here for ease of reference. Please note: the written notice outlined in the bylaw below is satisfied though this webpage, the RTW Bylaws posted on this website, and the annual Newsletter.

2.05    All dues, penalties, or assessments shall become a lien against the bond on their due date. The bond must be at the original face value and any additional assessments paid at the time of dues payment.   If after two years these remain unpaid, the Board of Directors may cause the said bond to be sold, the amount of lien collected, and the balance, if any, paid to the Bondholder.  In no event shall the Board take such action without 10 days prior written notice to the Bondholder.

 

Every member must present membership cards upon entering the pool. All dues and late fees must be paid in full before membership cards will be issued.

 

Barcode Scanning of membership cards will be done again this season. We now have a database of pool usage so we will be better able to staff and meet our member's needs.

 

Membership cards can ONLY be used by the person whose name is printed on the card. 

 

Babysitters: A babysitter membership is available. The babysitter membership is only $100 for the entire season.

 

Guest Fees

Guest passes may only be sold to current members, and the member MUST be present with their guests. When the member leaves the pool property, their guests must leave also.

• Pre-season - $5 per person weekdays, $10 weekends

• Regular season - $10 per person

• After 5 PM any day - $5 per person

• Guest pass cards are sold at the office for $50 and are good for 7 uses. Passes must be used only in the season purchased.

 

General Membership Meetings

• There will be two General Membership meetings each summer. The first is typically during Member Appreciation Day. The second is in August. Board of Director Nominations will be accepted at the August meeting. If an election is necessary, voting will end Labor Day.
